Paul Chenard has served as Chief Technical Officer since the company's founding. Paul has over 18 years of experience in the systems electronics, semiconductor and telecommunication industries, and prior to Sequitur, held positions at Agilent Technologies, Hewlett-Packard®, Northern Telecom, and Bell Northern Research.
With a strong background in system design, Paul held key roles in the development of early generation long-haul fiber optic transmission equipment. Paul was an early contributor in the field of microelectronic intellectual property reuse; acquiring and porting star IP blocks and developing the methodology for doing so. His work supported some of the earliest synthesized System-on-Chip devices, many of which were used in desktop inkjet and laser printers. Building on this expertise, Paul led development of a line of application-specific standard products targeting first generation smart phones and wireless PDAs before assuming roles in strategic IP acquisition and planning.
Paul holds two patents in SoC architecture. He can take apart and fix almost anything.
